1. Introduction to Dia

Dia is an online platform based in Uganda that connects users with a wide range of beauty services, places, and service providers. Our platform allows beauty businesses (Providers) to create detailed profiles, showcase their services with pricing, provide direct WhatsApp and call contact options, and receive reviews from users. Providers can also list beauty-related products or tools. We feature dedicated pages for listing all products, which can be filtered by location, category, price ranges, and discounts. Additionally, Providers can create attractive beauty packages with special discounts for users.

By accessing and using the Dia platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. User Accounts and Roles

Dia has two main categories of users:

• Normal Users Account creation is optional for normal users. They typically create an account or sign in when they wish to leave a review for a business profile, save products and places for later viewing, send inquiries to businesses, or view inquiry replies. Users can create an account using their email, username, and password, or through Google Sign-in. Similarly, sign-in is available via email/username and password or Google Sign-in. Users can edit their profile (name, profile image) but not their email for credibility purposes. Users also have the right to request account deletion.
• Providers These are users who create an account to add and manage their beauty place or business profile on Dia. After account creation, Providers go through an onboarding process where they enter their business details. Following onboarding, they are directed to their dashboard, where they can manage their profile, add optional beauty-related products, list services with pricing, and upload more gallery photos. Providers can also view inquiries and reviews. While Providers cannot reply to or delete reviews directly, they can request Dia platform owners for deletion if a review contains explicit or inappropriate content.

3. Content Guidelines and Moderation

Providers are strictly prohibited from posting explicit or inappropriate content on their profiles, service listings, or product pages. Any content deemed inappropriate by Dia platform owners will be subject to deletion without prior notice. Dia reserves the right to determine what constitutes explicit or inappropriate content.

Dia encourages Providers to verify their business by uploading a business registration certificate. This certificate is verified by Dia platform owners, and upon successful verification, a "Verified" badge is added to the business profile page. We strongly encourage all Providers to verify their business to increase customer trust and visibility on the platform.

For user safety and platform integrity, a "Report" feature/button is available on each business profile page, product page, and for each individual review, allowing users to flag inappropriate content or behavior.

4. Disclaimer of Liability

The Dia platform acts solely as a connector between users and beauty service providers/businesses. Dia is not liable for the quality of products and services offered by the Providers listed on our platform. Users are encouraged to exercise their own judgment and discretion when engaging with Providers and purchasing products or services. Any disputes regarding the quality of services or products must be resolved directly between the user and the respective Provider.

5. Subscription Plans for Providers

While Dia is free for all normal users, Providers who wish to create a business profile and utilize the platform's features are required to subscribe to one of our flexible subscription plans. We offer simple and flexible plans, including "Starter" and "Pro" options. Providers can choose to pay for durations of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year, depending on their business needs.

6. Use License

• Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Dia's website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only.
• This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
  • modify or copy the materials;
  • use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
  • attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Dia's website;
  • remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
  • transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.
• This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Dia at any time.

7. Limitations

In no event shall Dia or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Dia's website, even if Dia or a Dia authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
