Privacy Policy

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Dia, we deeply value your privacy. We are committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring a secure experience on our platform. We do not share any user information with third parties for marketing or other unrelated purposes. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect various types of information in connection with the services we provide, depending on your interaction with the Dia platform:

  • Account Information When you create an account (as a normal user or a Provider), we collect your name, email address, username, and password (hashed). If you use Google Sign-in, we collect information provided by Google as per their privacy policy.
  • Profile Information For normal users, this may include an optional profile image. For Providers, this includes detailed business information, contact details (phone, WhatsApp), service listings with pricing, product details, and gallery photos.
  • Interaction Data
    • Reviews When you leave a review, we collect the content of your review and associate it with your user profile and the business profile.
    • Saved Items If you save products or places for later viewing, we store this preference.
    • Inquiries When you send inquiries to businesses, we collect the content of your message and facilitate the communication. We also store inquiry replies.
  • Payment Information For Providers subscribing to our plans, we collect necessary billing information (e.g., billing address, subscription plan chosen). All actual payment processing is securely handled by PesaPal, our third-party payment gateway. Dia does not store sensitive financial information like credit card numbers directly on our servers. For transactions between users and Providers (e.g., booking services or purchasing products), Dia acts solely as a connector; these transactions are handled directly between the user and the Provider, and Dia does not process or store payment details for such transactions.
  • Verification Data For Providers seeking business verification, we collect uploaded business registration certificates.
  • Usage Data Information on how the service is accessed and used, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This helps us understand user behavior and improve our platform.
  • Location Data If you enable location services on your device, we may collect information about your precise location to provide localized search results (e.g., "places near me").

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Dia platform and its functionalities.
  • To facilitate connections between users and Providers.
  • To process Provider subscriptions and payments.
  • To personalize your experience, such as showing relevant search results or saved items.
